Dr. Purcell earned his medical degree at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He then went on to complete both his General Surgery residency, followed by his Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Texas A&M Health Science Center located at Baylor Scott & White Health Center in Temple, Texas.
Dr. Purcell feels that his career in surgery is a calling and is passionate about all aspects of vascular surgery. He enjoys the relationships he can build with his patients and considers it a privilege to give his patients the very best in care. As the newest member of the Pinellas Vascular practice, he is looking forward to meeting and caring for those seeking vascular care in Hernando and Pasco counties.
Dr. Purcell’s interests also include treatment for carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, and complex venous disease. He also provides comprehensive dialysis access care including fistula creation and maintenance as well as peritoneal dialysis access.
